Download Windows Phone SDK 7.1 Beta 2

Download the Windows Phone SDK 7.1 Beta 2 (renamed from the Windows Phone Developer Tools) and experience the upcoming tools release to develop Windows Phone apps that target Windows Phone OS 7.0 and to experiment with the new application platform enhancements coming in Windows Phone OS 7.1.

Windows Phone SDK 7.1 Beta 2 provides the tools necessary to target the upcoming Windows Phone OS 7.1 release codenamed Mango. The Beta 2 update reflects API changes in the app platform and many improvements in the developer tools.

New to Beta 2:

• Profiler – Profile the performance of UI and code within an app. The profiler works on apps that are deployed to and run on a Windows Phone 7.5 device.
• Emulator – Faster and more stable.
• Isolated Storage Explorer – Fully access the isolated storage of an application deployed to either the device or the emulator.
• Advertising SDK – Now included in the phone SDK. The advertising SDK is only usable within the United States.
